The owner has carefully blended the home’s historic charm with a modern, elegant dining experience. We invite you to enjoy a meal in the very house of the family who gifted Caspersen Beach to the community. Every detail celebrates the unique heritage of Venice.

Caspersen Beach Heritage

In 1968 a large portion of land was donated to Sarasota County by the Caspersen family which is now known as Caspersen beach. At the time, this family played a prominent role in the Sarasota area. Finn Caspersen Sr. founded the Venice Taxpayers League in 1955 and was one of the early residents of Sarasota County. His family house is now deemed a historic building and is restored and preserved as the home of Harbor Bistro.

Oh my god, the fries were out of this world abd they were homemade! Perfectly crispy, crunchy, and salted. Highly recommend 15/10

The most amazing restaurant. The tacos were full of shrimp & the chips were crispy and delicious. We came when there was live music by Katja which created the best atmosphere.

Stopped in for a light dinner of just a couple Starters. Had the tacos and the sticky ribs. Both were very satisfying. Well prepared and served. We will be back to try more starters and main dishes. Nice selection.
